Vasa Race Course Reports
February 07, 2019

This morning the Tart groomers issued the following report;

Grooming Report #32  02/08/19  7:15 am

Good Morning Ski Badgers,

What a weather rollercoaster ride this has been.  Its keeping the groomers “wide eyed and bushy tailed” thats for sure. :)  After yesterdays quick warm up and rain, this mornings temps have dropped into the teens with about 3” of fresh snow.  Because of the late timing of the freeze and the insulation properties of the new snow we will be out on the trail most of the morning and possibly into the afternoon today.

Jim just called from the trail where it is 16 degrees and very windy.  He is just about to finish up a complete single roll / compaction of the skate lane on all loops.  Then He and Dave will head out to do a full groom including new tracks on the entire system.  Jim did report wet snow under the surface which will take the rest of the day to firm up and freeze.

The 43rd annual Vasa Ski and Fat Bike Race Festival is this weekend.  The weather is looking great for winter fun so come on out and enjoy this wonderful local tradition with family and friends.  Timber Ridge is hosting the event again this year so whether your participating or spectating it should be a great experience.  See you out there! :) :)

Peace,

Glen
