Mike Haley,
North American Vasa

People of the Vasa Nation: Rise UP and SKI!
The groomers have been out and skiing conditions on the Vasa Pathway are quite good. Remember to go to traverse
trails.org for details about purchasing your 2016-17 grooming badge and for daily grooming reports.

(I took this photo for the benefit of those who may live in more temperate climates and are questioning whether we have any snow in Traverse City yet; also for any Nordic weather deniers.)

My fellow Nordic skiers, you want to look your best out in the woods, right? No, I am not talking technique here, I am  talking style. Check out vomax.com/vasa for jackets, vests and shirts displaying the Vasa logo. Wrap one up, put it under the tree and feel the love. (I am a size L, in case you are still shopping for me.)

You may have heard other skiers talk about Ski For Light. Started in 1975, this non-profit, all-volunteer organization connects blind/visually-impaired and mobility-impaired skiers with experienced sighted cross-country skiers. They are always looking for guides to assist the SFL skiers.
For more info about this and their annual event in Colorado, click on Ski For Light to go to the SFL website  .

That's it till January. Have a great Holiday Season!
